St Mirren FC is progressing with its next manager appointment, ensuring the right decision is made to take the club forward. The club is working hard to bring this to its conclusion. While the club is moving forward with its managerial process, it is delighted to welcome Gavin Miller as the new Head of Recruitment. Miller joins the club ahead of the 2026/27 season following a thorough hiring process. Miller has spent the last five years at Motherwell FC after a spell in English football. The appointment comes following the departure of John Park, who played an important role behind the scenes in establishing key recruitment infrastructure, including the strategic partnership with Driblab, a leading analytics consultancy. The club thanks John for his service and wishes him the best of luck in his future. St Mirren Chief Operating Officer Keith Lasley said, "I'm excited to welcome Gavin to the club. He was the standout candidate following a thorough recruitment process after John Park stated his intention to move on. Gavin joins the club with a proven track record of identifying high potential players that have generated significant revenue and has an extensive network across Europe and the UK. Gavin will be tasked with building on, and enhancing, our recruitment processes and using his experiences with data to support the club's long-term strategic goals. He has already got to work assessing our squad and our needs for the upcoming season and has engaged in discussions with a number of our out-of-contract players. I would like to thank John Park for his efforts during his time at the club. John implemented some key processes behind the scenes and leaves the club with everyone's best wishes." The club can also now provide supporters with a squad update following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season. A number of key players remain under contract for next season, while the club remains engaged in discussions with a number of players whose contracts are set to expire. Those include Mark O'Hara, Mikael Mandron, Jonah Ayunga, Allan Campbell, and Fraser Taylor. The club has said its goodbyes to Scott Tanser, Dan Nlundulu, Luke Kenny, Oisin Smyth, and James Scott. The club thanks all the departing players for their individual contributions during their time at St Mirren and wishes them the best in their future. Scott Tanser departs the club following a five-year stay at the Buddies since joining in the summer of 2021. Over the course of his time at the club, he would make 183 appearances, scoring seven goals. The left-sided full-back played a key role in the club's three top-six finishes in a row between 2023-2025 and scored a crucial goal in the win away to Dundee in May 2024, which proved pivotal in the club's qualification for Europe. Adding a league cup medal in December, Scott, along with all the departing players, leaves with the best wishes of everyone at St Mirren Football Club.
